God Eater 2 has a young and energetic boy as the newest member of Blood, the Fenrir affiliate special forces group. Famitsu also reported new details about the Short Blade weapon.
Romeo Leoni
Romeo is one of the newest members along God Eater 2’s main character to join Blood. The 19-year-old Buster Blade wielder is said to be quite the popular young man, even in the devastating post-apocalyptic world of God Eater. He can get a little carried away at times but takes good care of his juniors.
He’s generally a nice guy but at the same time, quite a lowbrow character. He seems to know a lot about fashion and idols. His reason for joining Blood still remains a mystery.
The God Arms have always consisted of Short, Long and Buster Blades for the melee weapons. With the addition of the Boost Hammer and Charge Spear, Bandai Namco have revamped one of their existing weapons, the Short Blade.
The Short Blade isn’t as flashy as the Buster Blade or have the reach of a Long Blade, but it excels at speed and mobility. With the addition of the ‘Aerial Step’ ability, it can now deliver multiple hits in the air, as well as on the ground.
Rising Edge: by pressing the R and square button, you can perform an upward slash attack. It will be a crucial ability to start aerial combos.
Aerial Step: The additional step in mid-air. It can be used right after doing a Rising Edge attack as a recovery and evasive move.
The special ability will have energy swirling around the entire blade, used to land a powerful flying thrust attack to enemies. It will be possible to make it do multiple hits, making it a go-to move for Short Blade users.
God Eater 2 is slated to be released for PSP and PlayStation Vita in 2013.
