Tecmo Koei added new modes for Dead or Alive fans that want to improve their game. After you learn the basics in Tutorial mode you can choose Dead or Alive 5 Plus’ Command Training to practice attacks until you get the timing down. Combo Challenge is like a mission mode that gives players sets of attacks to master. Free training mode lets players focus on Power Blows, Critical Attacks or whatever attacks they want to learn.
Dead or Alive 5 Plus also has a Touch Fight mode where you attack characters with taps and swipes using the Vita’s touchscreen. Swiping upwards launches an enemy and pinching the touchscreen does ahold or throw. Hitting a character with a five hit combo triggers a Critical Burst. You can play Touch Fight with a horizontal widescreen view or vertical view.
Dead or Alive 5 Plus comes out on March 19 on PlayStation Vita.
