Last year, after initially selling Tank! Tank Tank! as a retail title for the Wii U, Namco Bandai turned it into a free-to-play game in Japan. Now, they’re doing the same in Europe, the publisher has announced.

Tank! Tank! Tank!, which is a multiplayer players vs. monster tank battle game, will be available starting today on the European Nintendo eShop for Wii U. A free Basic Pack will include three modes to play—Monster Battle, Free-for-All, and Team Versus, all in the Urban Area stage, and playable thrice a day for free.

In addition to the Basic Pack, you’ll be able to purchase other content separately. Once any additional content is purchased, the thrice-a-day limit will be removed. Purchasing every additional piece of content will give you a version of the game that includes everything in the retail version of Tank! Tank! Tank!.

To help kick things off, Namco are offering an introductory promotion, by which My Kong mode can be bought for an 80% discount until February 28th.
