Famitsu surveyed developers, retailers and gamers with what five games do they think will be big in 2007 for each system. The number one result shouldn’t surprise anyone, Dragon Quest IX got the most votes overall. However, it gets interesting when you look at the results broken down by console. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas topped Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix + as the second most anticipated PS2 game. Strangely the number one most anticipated game wasn’t any game at all. It was “no particular title” which is a culmination of “I don’t know” or “no preference”. The PSP and PS3 charts are filled with familiar franchises. Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy games received a large number of votes. Super Smash Brothers Brawl dominated the Wii charts and sneaking in at number five was Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn. The big surprise was probably the Xbox 360 charts, which is ripe with new games. Lost Odyssey topped the charts, but Blue Dragon and Lost Planet appeared in the top five along with Halo 3.
