Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden developer, Team Ninja, recently released Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for Nintendo’s Wii U console. The game was published by Nintendo instead of Team Ninja parent company, Tecmo Koei, and is an improved version of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Ninja Gaiden 3.

Going forward, Team Ninja, who also collaborated with Nintendo on Metroid: Other M, have plans to release more games on the Wii U, according to Official Nintendo Magazine.

When asked what Team Ninja are currently up to, studio head, Yosuke Hayashi, shared: “We are working on an action game, and we are looking into other titles for Wii U.” Hayashi adds that Team Ninja began working on the Wii U at an early stage, which is why they were able to get Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge on the system.

We currently know of at least two titles that Team Ninja are involved in—Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, which is being developed in collaboration with Spark Unlimited and Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune; and another title, Ni-Oh, which they took over from Koei.
