Phantasy Star Complete Collection Lands On PS2 Classics In Japan

Sega has a wonderful collection of the Phantasy Star games for PlayStation 2. Phantasy Star Complete Collection includes eight titles:

Phantasy Star (Sega Mark III)

Phantasy Star II (Genesis)

Phantasy Star II: Successor of Time (Genesis)

Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom (Genesis)

Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium (Genesis)

Phantasy Star Text Adventure (Genesis)

Phantasy Star Adventure (Game Gear)

Phantasy Star Gaiden (Game Gear)

… all on one disc and now digital download. Phantasy Star Complete Collection is now available on the PlayStation Store for just 800 yen ($10). Not a bad deal since the disc version is kind of hard to get. Like many Sega Ages games, Phantasy Star Complete Collection had a low print run.

If you’re looking for an English collection of Phantasy Star games we recommend Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection. It’s not perfect, but if you want to replay the English localized series that’s the way to do it. Phantasy Star is on there plus the Shining Force games.
