Namco Bandai had an idea to modernize Namco’s arcade classics kind of like they did with Pac-Man Championship Edition. And so, the Namco Generations label began in 2010 with Pac-Man Championship Edition DX and continued in 2011 with Galaga Legions DX.

The last time we heard anything about Namco Generations was in April when the publisher canceled Dancing Eyes. Today, Namco Bandai announced Aero-Cross, a re-imagining of Metro Cross that we haven’t heard about for a year, is canceled.

With no more Namco Generations titles in the pipeline, it looks like the age of modernized Namco arcade games is over.
