Bursting Boobs Producer, Kenichiro Takaki, has big plans for the Senran Kagura franchise. The series already has one successful game to its name, various manga series in Japan, an upcoming new game this week, and an anime series scheduled to air in 2013. What’s next?

According to Takaki, he’s thinking of Senran Kagura 2. That’s right; Senran Kagura Burst: Crimson Girls isn’t the same as “Senran Kagura 2”.

Speaking with Nintendo Dream magazine in Japan, if Burst does well, Takaki says he hopes to create Senran Kagura 2 for the Nintendo 3DS with an overhauled game system.

Takaki didn’t provide Nintendo Dream with any specifics on this front, but last year, he shared with Siliconera in an interview: “Instead of having it just be a simple side-scroller, I would set the camera to better capture the action for each scene. I’d also add co-op and versus play and let players dress the girls up and change how their outfits tear.”

Devil May Kagura? That could be interesting to see.
