The beloved franchise has another sequel that is hopefully more polished than Codemaster’s broken version of Bubble Bobble Revolution. Bubble Bobble Double Shot introduces another dinosaur, Bubu, and color coded bubble blasting. Instead of shooting bubbles at random players need to make sure the bubbles are the correct color for some enemies. Each dinosaur shoots a different color bubble so you’re going to have to switch between them on the fly. The new “feature” sounds like an attempt to make Bubble Bobble DS more challenging, instead of making it more fun. That might not work out so well, but the three player multiplayer is a clear plus. Rising Star Games is bringing Bubble Bobble DS to Europe in 2007 and Codemasters is the primary candidate to publish the game in North America after the European release.
