This Was The Original Concept Design For Ratchet & Clank

To celebrate Ratchet & Clank’s 10th anniversary, Sony are releasing the Ratchet & Clank Collection for the PlayStation 3. This morning, they released a new trailer for the collection, along with concept art of what Ratchet and Clank originally looked like when character artist, Dave Guertin, was coming up with their design:

Both characters were originally both more reptilian in nature, as shown in the concepts above. Clank was meant to be a mechanical lizard of sorts. The only concepts of his that were carried over to the final design were his eyes and articulated legs.

 

Ratchet & Clank Collection will be released on August 28th for the PlayStation 3. You can watch the new trailer for the collection below:
