Looks like Square Enix might not be the only Japanese publisher to back Ouya. Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing at Namco Bandai Games America, is in "active discussions" with Ouya.

"NAMCO BANDAI Games and OUYA are currently in active discussions to bring some of the world’s biggest gaming properties to the exciting new open gaming platform. NAMCO BANDAI brings with it a rich history of iconic gaming franchises, from classics like Pac-Man and Galaga, to seminal franchises like Tekken and Ridge Racer, and we’re excited to explore how we can work with OUYA to bring some great titles to the forthcoming console," Choi said in a press release.

Ouya, which is schedule to launch in March 2013, is an Android based device. Looking at Namco Bandai’s current Android slate, they have games like Pac-Man Championship Edition, Puzzle Quest 2 (from their D3Publisher acquisition), and Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming (not quite sure about these rights).

Namco Bandai also made ports of Soulcalibur and Tekken Bowling for iOS, which could be brought to Ouya too. Perhaps most interesting is Tales of the World: Tactics Union which is actually an Android game, but only available for select smartphones in Japan. It would be neat to see that get localized and it looks like Namco Bandai is taking requests for Ouya games too
