Ahh weapon proficiency, that reminds me of Final Fantasy II, but you don’t have to clonk your own characters in the head in God Eater 2. As your character uses special attacks and skills, they’ll naturally evolve into stronger and cooler looking attacks. That’s the Blood Arts system in a nutshell.

Blood Arts are tied to the character that learns them, so even if you change swords you’ll retain your Blood Arts. While most Blood Arts are learned by fighting Aragami, some of God Eater 2’s skills have to be unlocked through special conditions. Famitsu has more screenshots of Blood Arts for the short blade, charge spear, buster blade, boost hammer, and long blade. There are over 100 Blood Arts for players to learn in God Eater 2.

Gods Eater Burst players may remember Alisa. Now eighteen years old, Alisa returns for God Eater 2 with more determination now that she has come to terms with a past trauma explained in Gods Eater Burst.
