Devil’s Third IP Back In Creator Tomonobu Itagaki’s Hands

Devil’s Third, the first title from Valhalla Games, is looking for a new publisher. Mired in financial problems, THQ returned the rights back to Tomonobu Itagaki’s new studio.

First announced in 2009, Devil’s Third blends third person shooting with melee sword combat. We haven’t seen any gameplay footage from Devil’s Third since the title switched game engines midway through development.

 

Devil’s Third is in the final stage of development, Eurogamer reports, but Itagaki says this is the most expensive phase since they need to spend a Viacom’s ransom for TV advertisments in the West. I wonder which publisher will pick up Devil’s Third… you know Square Enix could use a stylish action game and they snapped the rights to Sleeping Dogs, which Activision dropped too. Hmm…
