Tales of Xillia 2, a sequel that takes place a year after the original game, will be released on November 1st, Namco Bandai announced this morning. In Japan, the game will cost 8,830 yen, and players that pre-order it will receive a short story in book form that connects the game to its predecessor.

Japanese blog, Game Jouhou, reports that, alongside the book, players will also receive codes for three in-game costumes. One of these outfits Ludgar, the game’s protagonist, like Emil from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

Additionally, Namco Bandai will also release a Tales of Xillia 2 X Edition package, which bundles the game with a specially-designed Dualshock 3 controller inspired by it. Meanwhile, Famitsu will release a DX Pack that comes with a stuffed toy of Ludgar’s cat, Lulu, a B2-sized tapestry, a mug, and a clear file.

Finally, Weekly Shounen Jump magazine reported this week that Alvin and Leia from Tales of Xillia will make an appearance in Xillia 2. Both characters will have new outfits, but details as to their role in the game haven’t been announced.
