Previously we’ve Tesseraction games lease out their talent through an eBay auction. Now the entire company of Robotube games is on sale with a starting price of $850,000. It might seem like a huge price, but you are buying the entire company. All of the intellectual property (eight cell phone games and 34 flash games) that Robotube Games developed is part of the asking price. The current staff members will continue to stay at the company for three years as long as their salaries are “equal to industry standards.” While Robotube has primarily focused on making mobile phone games they could develop games for other platforms, like the Nintendo DS. The catch is the new owner would need to find a larger staff and drum up even more dough to make a project reality. Currently Robotube has not received any bids, but they are willing to negotiate if someone wants to seriously buy them out. As the auction says, “Why buy your kids a video game this holiday, when you can buy them an entire game company?” Any takers?
