Initial D Arcade 7 AA X has a new story mode called the Fastest in Kantou Project where you tag in and out with a second player. Battles are 2-on-2 races where both teams show off their driving techniques. Another new feature is the Boost Divide system where you can share your boost with another player. The game is linked up with a nationwide tag system and if you’re in the lead you can transfer your boost gauge to your partner so s/he can catch up. Sega also says there is a new Cross Emblem system and they will add new rules for arcade operators to use.

A location test for Initial D Arcade 7 AA X will be held on May 11 to May 13 in four arcades in Japan: Akihabara Gigo, Sega Akihabara, Club Sega Shinjuku (West Entrance), and Sega World Fuse in Osaka.
