Square Enix released a Kingdom Hearts 3D demo in Japan, which gives Internet connected 3DS owners get a taste of the game. The demo clocks in at 712 blocks and only has one area to explore. Players will be able to control Sora at the very beginning of the game when he arrives at Traverse Town. After Sora meets Neku, you can whack Dream Eaters with a keyblade.
Sora is souped up for the demo with skills like: Ice Breaker, Sparkga, Slot Blade, Rainbow Wind, Balloonra, and Curera. Meow Wow and Neko Cat (Japanese name) follow Sora as his two friendly Spirits. You can swing on lampposts using the Flow Motion actions and grind on electric wires. The whole thing including the boss fight takes less than 20 minutes to complete.
The Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] demo also includes the opening tutorial where Sora fights Ursula on a raft. Square Enix set the demo limit to fifteen plays, but you’ll probably see everything after your first run through.
