French website, Gamkult, have leaked a trailer for Ubisoft’s next Rayman title, Rayman Legends. While it isn’t confirmed which consoles Rayman Legends will appear on, the trailer in question is specifically for the Wii U version of the game and shows off exclusive Wii U features.

This includes the ability to use the touch screen on the controller to perform certain functions, and the trailer also shows off the Wii U controller’s NFC (near field communication) feature by demonstrating what effect it has on the game if you place figurines based on Ubisoft’s characters on the touch screen.

Update: Ubisoft have provided a statement regarding the leaked trailer, which you can read below:

“An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet. This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features.

This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits. Ubisoft confirms the development of Rayman Legends handled by Michel Ancel and his team in Montpellier.”
