Aniplex To Release Bakemonogatari Anime In North America

Bakemonogatari is back in the spotlight. While Namco Bandai are working on a PSP game, Bakemonogatari Portable, Aniplex USA announced at Sakura-Con this past week that they will be publishing the Bakemonogatari anime series in North America.

The first episode of the series will be premiered at Sakura-Con today, although Aniplex haven’t specified whether their release of Bakemonogatari will be distributed digitally or in DVD/Blu-Ray form.

Meanwhile, plans are underway to animate the rest of Bakemonogatari author NisiOisin’s “Monogatari” light novels. Of these, Bakemonogatari, Katanagatari and Nisemonogatari have already been adapted into anime series, with a Kuzomonogatari movie having been announced as well.
