Last night, a site named GetNews reported that Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy for the Nintendo 3DS started to fly off shelves as soon as stores in Japan opened for the day. Retail blog, Sinobi, who we often turn to for shipment and sales estimates, is reporting the exact same trend.

“Perhaps because the shops have all sold out this morning, Theathrythm has also sold out on Amazon,” Sinobi reports. “There is a new shipment planned for the 25th.”

A sell-out for Theatrhythm with no second shipment due until the 25th doesn’t sound like a fun situation to be in. Hopefully, the game can sustain its demand while Square Enix get more copies shipped to stores.

Equally interesting is Sinobi’s report on Rune Factory 4.

Rune Factory 4, for which pre-orders started yesterday, has made a big breakthrough,” Sinobi shares. “Harvest Moon: The Land of Origin, which started pre-orders last week is also doing well, but in terms of pre-order kick-offs, Rune Factory 4 blows Harvest Moon out of the water with a rocket start.”

Sinobi adds that Rune Factory 4’s pre-orders are strong with people who prefer to order online, and speculates that the abundance of content included in the game’s pre-order edition (headphones and a drama CD) is one of the reasons for this.

“Even so, this is amazing,” Sinobi concludes. “People planning to buy this [when it hits store shelves], beware.”
