Secret Of Mana, World Of Goo, And More Art Style (This Might Be The Best Wiikly Update This Year)

I came home to an awesome Nintendo weekly update. Art Style: Cubello is a spiritual 3D remake of the Bit Generations game Coloris where you match colored cubes. In Art Style: Cubello you point and shoot colored cubes with the Wii remote while a 3D figure rotates. You have a limited number of cubes to shoot which adds a layer of strategy to the 600 Wii Points ($6) game. World of Goo brings a mess of blobs and construction to WiiWare. The goal of World of Goo is to bring a set number of goo balls to the end of a level, but you need to build structures on the fly to get to the end of the level. The creative game is on the high end of the WiiWare spectrum running for 1,500 Wii Points ($15), but it’s worth it. World of Goo is one of the most creative downloadable games for the Wii.

For a mere 800 Wii Points ($8) you can also pick up Secret of Mana. Squaresoft’s classic action RPG brings together a pushy princess, a mischievous sprite, and a boy who pulls out a legendary sword on a quest to restore the Mana Sword. The best part about the Virtual Console re-release is you don’t need a multitap to play with three people. Grab three classic controllers and you’re all set. Street Fighter II:  Special Championship Edition also costs 800 Wii Points ($8), but the only thing special about it is a round robin group battle mode.
