Square Enix USA has yet to announce Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time for a domestic release, but it’s a shoe in. If the Echoes of Time trademark wasn’t enough of a clue, a menu screenshot shows Echoes of Time players can choose to connect with someone with in their home country or search for adventurers from around the world. The only reason why Square Enix would add worldwide play in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time is if it’s coming out in other regions. The cross platform Nintendo DS/Wii game will make its debut in Japan on January 29, 2009. We’ll have to wait for Square Enix to officially announce Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time for North America to get a release window.
The Tokyo Game Show trailer has another look at the multiplayer gameplay with swimming and a boss fight with a heavily armored goblin. Around the thirty second mark you can see the character creator. You can choose one of the four races (Clavat, Lilty, Selkie, Yuke) and pick a gender which makes eight possible base character choices.
