Details about Time and Eternity, a new RPG from Namco Bandai, Imageepoch, character artist VOFAN and animation Satelight, are slipping out thanks to Famitsu. The PlayStation 3 RPG has a fantasy kingdom sparked by marriage. Kamuza Kingdom was established when the Knight King and a princess trained in magic married.
The blue-haired prince is the protagonist. He’s 18 years old and married the princess, but hasn’t kissed her yet. Toki (also "time" in the title) is the name of the princess. She’s 16 years old and has pink hair (the second girl from the left). Scenes from the magazine show Toki using a gun and magic spells in battle.
Ryoei Mikage, CEO of Imageepoch, says he planned creating this title some time ago. His goal is to show how 2D anime can be presented for a video game. VOFAN is creating character art for the game and instead of using cel-shading Time and Eternity has hand drawn art for animation. Kei Hirono producer on Dark Souls is also the producer of Time and Eternity. He says the game has been in development for two years and having HD quality anime graphics will be a change for RPGs. Yuzo Koshiro, a former Falcom composer and Streets of Rage II musician, is the game’s composer. He said VOFAN’s artwork inspired his score.
Time and Eternity is 45% complete, according to Famitsu.
