The bikini and cowboy hat get up makes Kagura look an awful lot like Aya, the lead character in all of the other Onechanbara titles. But, hey this game is called Onechanbara Z: Kagura and the lead character is a half-vampire from Romania. Kagura can fight with two swords, a mirage blade or an arch-like weapon called the Anemone.
Move over Lollipop Chainsaw, Kagura’s sidekick Saaya can slice up monsters with the "Dead Coaster" chainsaw and a modern morning star called the Volcano. Players can purchase new weapons by visiting goddess statues. These monuments are a gateway to Nirvana and more importantly for the player act as an all purpose shop where you can also tweak combos, pick up rings, and acquire new skills.
Aya and her half-sister Saki have new costumes. Instead of a red bikini, Aya has a black outfit because she’s an assassin and said to be responsible for the monstrosities around Tokyo. Onechanbara Z: Kagura will be released as an Xbox 360 exclusive on January 19, 2012 in Japan.
