How To Talk To Other Players In Dragon Quest X

Being an online game, communication is important in Dragon Quest X: Waking of the Five Tribes. Players can either punch in messages with the Wii remote’s D-pad or plug in a USB keyboard to type. You can save phrases and add emoticons.

Everyone can see what you wrote as a cartoony chat bubble that appears overhead. This could get confusing with dozens of people talking inside a tavern, so conversations with friends can be ready instant message style too.

But, you don’t need to write how you feel. You can emote instead.

Emotes vary depending on the race and gender of your character. All of the emotes below are for congratulating someone.

Square Enix also introduced the staff wielding priest class. As usual, priests are masters of the healing arts. In Dragon Quest X, this class also has a skill that can confuse enemies and Angelic Protection, a spell will revive your character if you fall in battle after you cast it.
