Mega Man 2 is lonely, it’s the only Virtual Console game released this week. Blasting eight robot masters and the gust blowing dragon in Wily’s lair costs 500 Wii Points. Mega Man 2 is well worth the price if you don’t already own the Mega Man: Anniversary Collection disc.
Strong Bad Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free and Potpourrii, two WiiWare games, ameliorate the lack of Virtual Console releases. Strong Bad starts the episode under house arrest after failing to pay the King of Town’s e-mail tax. In addition to the episodic adventure portion Strong Bad Episode 2 comes with Math Kickers Featuring the Algebros, more costumes, and Teen Squad Girl comics for 1,000 Wii Points. We’ll discuss Strong Bad Episode 2 in more detail in a little bit. Let’s look at Potpourrii now. Abstraction Games’ project looks like Bust-A-Move in a cauldron. The puzzle game puts players in control of a spirit cannon that shoots seasonal spirits in the middle of the pot. Potpourrii costs 800 Wii Points ($8) and here’s a trailer demonstrating how the seasonal spirit shooting works.
