Armored Core developer From Software is lending their mecha game knowhow to Sunrise. They’re the studio behind an upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn game for PlayStation 3.

The title, which was revealed by Famitsu, covers the first three episodes of the story. It sounds like characters will have their own scenario to play since the magazine lists a Banagher chapter, Full Frontal chapter, and a Marida chapter. Players will be able to experience the original story with CG cutscenes.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn will have a mix of up close combat and shooting. From Software wants to preserve the feeling of speed the mobile suits have. New for the game is a sub flight system that allows the suits to transform into flight mode. Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn is slated for release in spring 2012.
