The Warriors Orochi series started as a mashup of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, but it’s growing beyond that. Warriors Orochi 2 adds Ryu Hayabusa best known for his brutal killings in Ninja Gaiden. Koei also created a Ninja Gaiden themed stage for the upcoming title.

A few warriors from the West will get to know Cao Cao too. Jeanne d’Arc from Bladestorm and 15th century French history is also a playable character. Achilles from Warriors: Legends of Troy is confirmed for Warriors Orochi 2 and looks like he’s the sole representative from the Greek army. Both of these guests will have special stages as well.
Warriors Orochi 2 is slated for release on December 22 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
