The USB dongle is a quick solution to get connect a Wii or DS online. On September 18 Nintendo will release a more flexible solution in Japan. The Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter, a wireless 802.11g/b router with a single LAN port, goes on sale for 5,800 yen ($54). Like Buffalo branded routers the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adapter has an AOSS button so you can easily synchronize a Wii or a DS to it without typing a long security key. Since the DS and Wii can connect to any router Nintendo is obviously isn’t aiming at the tech savvy demographic. Nintendo’s router is the Touch Generations equivalent to the more functional routers currently in stores.
