Sega announced today that Phantasy Star Online 2’s official release has been delayed. The game, which was originally supposed to begin running online this year, has now been delayed to sometime in 2012.
Producer, Satoshi Sakai, says that this decision was made after Sega received user feedback from the game’s recent alpha-test, and decided to make improvements based on the feedback. A second alpha will be held in early 2012. Players that participated in the first alpha will be allowed entry, and so will new participants.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is in development for PC. You can view more screenshots and video of the game using its tag.
