Details are still hard to come by about LocoRoco 2. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe seems to know about more about the game since their product page explains LocoRoco 2 can support up to four people. There are six new ad hoc mini games in the sequel. One of them supports four players.
The single player game has twenty five “new” stages, which sounds misleading. If LocoRoco 2 only has 25 stages the game will be technically shorter than the original. SCEE hasn’t clearly explained how deep each stage is and if any of the old stages would be reused to extend the length of LocoRoco 2. The “new” stages have new features like jumping on grass, climbing in shells, and, as seen by another screenshot, swimming underwater.
