New Pokémon Center In Japan’s Tohoku Region To Provide Relief To Quake Victims

The Pokémon Company will be opening a new Pokémon Center in Japan’s north-eastern Tohoku region, which took the brunt of the the devastating earthquakes this past year.

The intention behind the store is to bring children together and help them cope with the disaster.

 

The new Pokémon Center will be the seventh of its kind to be built in Japan. Each of these locales sell Pokémon-related merchandise, ranging from the games to cards to clothing.  This particular store is being built as part of the “Pokémon With You” disaster relief initiative, which aims to provide relief and raise funds for disaster victims.
