Oh wait, it isn’t. Housemarque of Super Stardust fame developed Golf: Tee It Up which just happens to share the feel of a lost Hot Shots Golf game. Like the recent PlayStation 3 release you can play online, customize your character, and download new content. Additional course, clothes, and accessories will be available almost certainly for a price above the 800 Microsoft Points ($10) for the game alone.
An alternative to family friendly golf is Schizoid which has the tag line as “the most co-op game ever”. I’m still not sure what that means, but Torpex claims co-op play is a key feature. When you don’t have a friend around or on Xbox Live an AI bot helps shoot enemies through the 120+ levels. Uberschizoid mode sounds taxing since players control two ships simultaneously. Taking the challenge costs 800 Microsoft Points ($10) when Schizoid and Golf: Tee it Up come out on Xbox Live Arcade.
