Initial D: Extreme Stage just came out in Japan and Sega isn’t wasting anytime selling downloadable content. Five volumes of digital manga are online, priced at 320 yen ($3) a piece. However, the collaboration between Sega and Japanese manga publisher Kodansha only extends to Japan. Singapore has the game, but no manga. We’re really unsure if Sega will release Initial D: Extreme Stage in other regions like North America. I’m not betting on it, but it would be interesting if Tokyopop, the company who publishes Initial D manga in North America, picks up the rights to sell the digital manga on the US PlayStation Store.
