Konami have announced two HD collections for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 — Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders, with high-res visuals and the inclusion of trophies and achievements.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will include: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Meanwhile, the Zone of the Enders HD Collection will include both Zone of the Enders games. Konami haven’t announced a price for either collection yet.

Metal Gear Solid director, Hideo Kojima, confirmed that you’ll be able to transfer saves between the PlayStation 3 and PSP versions of Peace Walker, although the game will not be classified as a “PSP Remaster”. Instead, this feature is the result of a Kojima project dubbed “Transfarring,” by which he hopes to to extend PSP-to-PS3 cross-compatible saves to Konami’s other games on both systems.

What other games? For starters, Zone of the Enders HD Collection, too, will support Transfarring. Additionally, Kojima revealed that he hopes to bring Transfarring to the NGP as well, which means an NGP or PSP version of Zone of the Enders HD Collection could be in the works.
