Another Naruto RPG finds a path to the DS

As we predicted earlier, Tomy is working on Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 and it’s coming out in September 2008. The second Naruto RPG contains an original plot that appears to be a localization of Naruto RPG 2: Chidori vs. Rasengan. However, the US version is quite different because it includes Nintendo Wi-Fi battles, a first for the Naruto RPG series. Players will be able to utilize the 30 characters and fight somehow. Although, it seems likely online fights be RPG combat style with a turn order and bottom screen scratching. I doubt Tomy is going to create a two player fighting mini game just for online play.

Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 will be the first Naruto game in North America from Tomy online play. Hopefully, this experiment will lead to online fights in the inevitable Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX 3.

Update: As a number of you pointed out this is NOT Naruto RPG 2: Chidori vs. Rasengan. Naruto Path of Ninja 2 is a localized version of Naruto RPG 3: Reijuu vs. Konoha Shoutai.
