White lines for walls and black backgrounds used for dungeons remind me of Wizardry on the archaic Apple II. In Genmu no Tou to Ken no Okite, an upcoming Nintendo DS dungeon crawler from Success, you can take a time trip to the dawn of 3D dungeon crawlers by switching into original mode. If that’s too old school you can switch the game into arrange mode and see actual graphics. Take a look at the difference in the video below.

FoliathR pointed out in the comments (thanks!) a side by side comparison of the dungeons on the official Genmu no Tou to Ken no Okite site which can also be viewed in original mode. A different, but appropriate marketing take given the nature of the game. However, nostalgic Genmu no Tou to Ken no Okite may seem it also appears superficially short with only 40 quests to complete and 80+ monsters to fight. Hopefully, these quests will be more than item fetching.
