In May, the same day the Nintendo eShop launches, fans will finally get to play a part of Mega Man Legends 3. Capcom will release Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Edition as a digital download, which gives players a look at the long awaited sequel and the fan contributions in the game.

Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version introduces a new character too. Barrett is a reckless leader of a sky pirate gang who has explosive kicks, apparently. Since this is a prototype, players can access some areas of the game that aren’t finished after beating the main missions. Capcom also left a debug menu in that grants special moves and abilities.

The only missing detail is a price. Capcom didn’t announce what Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version will cost, if anything in North America. Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version is 200 yen ($2.40) in Japan.
