Another Wii clone is about to enter the market and I actually tried it. The product is called AllSports (notice the similar font?) and it includes seven semi-motion controlled games. Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling, Shooting, Dart and Ring (it’s actually Ring Toss) are part of the package with 16-bit graphics.
Tennis doesn’t have a character representation for the player. All you see is a bouncing ball and you need to press one of the buttons to throw it in the air. Once airborne you can swing the paper-light remote to hit it back and forth. An infrared sensor, similar to the one in Kenshin Dragon Quest, tracks your movements. The strange thing about Tennis is you can swing the remote at any time to hit the ball back. I started rapidly waving the remote before I switched over to Dart.
In Dart you charge a shot by pressing a button to stop a marker on a moving meter. Once powered up you swing the remote to throw the dart. That’s it.
See the disc shaped devices in the photo? AllSports is contained in one of them. The company who created this has two other motion controlled games, one features brain training software and it didn’t have a demo.
