Everyone (even us) mentioned the Sixaxis with rumble since it’s coming to North America next week. Rumble? Great. Let’s move on to other input devices that are PlayStation 3 compatible. Logitech released the Space Navigator last year. This 3D mouse was initially designed for graphic artists and Google Earth.

The device also works with the PlayStation 3. When you plug it in one of the USB ports users can scroll across the XMB and surf the web with it. The two buttons on the Space Navigator are mapped to the X and O buttons on a Sixaxis controller. Since the mouse doesn’t detect motion you can’t use it for a game like Lair, but it probably works with some games. Might be interesting to see how it’s used with something simple like Everyday Shooter or Time Crisis 4. However, with a $55 price tag at Amazon I doubt anyone is going to rush out and buy a Space Navigator over a Dual Shock 3.
