Splinter Cell? 22 million units in sales. Assassin’s Creed? 20 million. Prince of Persia? 17 million. Sure, those are some very profitable series…but not as much as the Rabbids, Petz and Imagine games.

The Rabbids games come in at a whopping 29 million units in sales. Petz? 22 million. And Imagine itself is no joke at 19 million. While we can’t speak for overall budget (taking into account marketing and advertising), the development budgets for each of these is likely far less than what Ubisoft spend on their big-budget, high-definition games.

Ubisoft are actually paying very close attention to their casual games output. They point out in their latest investor report that back-catalogue sales of their games for the year were led by Just Dance.
