The direct quote from the End of Year interview with 4Gamer with Yosuke Saito roughly translates to the following:

2025 will also be the 15th anniversary of the NieR series, so we would like to do something! What should we do? Maybe the next game, or… developments about ‘that…’ I have been listening to everyone’s expectations. It is complicated… Regardless, since I will be less involved as a direct producer, I hope you can patiently look forward.

Meanwhile, NieR series Director Yoko Taro also participated in the interview. When asked about his expectations and plans for next year, Yoko Taro said that last year he already commented speaking out against all the wars going on around the world, and that these haven’t ended at all.

As a reminder, Saito said on May 2024 that he was working with Yoko Taro on “something that might or might not be NieR.” Additionally, Square Enix recently revealed that NieR: Automata recently surpassed 9 million units sold worldwide. The original NieR released in April 22, 2010, and 2025 will mark the 15th anniversary of the series. Meanwhile, NieR: Automata released 7 years ago in 2017.

NieR: Automata is available worldwide on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. NieR: Replicant is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
