Yet another ryokutya2089 leak seems to confirmed the continuation of another Shonen Jump series. The final season of the My Hero Academia anime, which will allegedly literally be called My Hero Academia: Final Season, will start airing during the Fall 2025 anime season. There’s no information as of yet as to how many cours it will consist of. The current run is on Crunchyroll. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]
The Fall anime season usually starts around late September or early October, so that’s when we’ll be able to expect the last season to air. News about the final season first appeared in October 2024, though at the time, Bones didn’t mention anything about the exact season or month. When season 7 ended in June 2024, it stopped during the Final War Arc. That means that the final season will finish that up before entering the Epilogue Arc, which is the last part of the Final Act Saga.
My Hero Academia is a popular anime and manga series that started serialization in July 2014 and ended in August 2024. The anime series started in April 2016. It follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a boy without a Quirk (superpower), despite his admiration of superheroes, especially All Might. After meeting All Might, he inherits the powerful “One For All” Quirk, and with it he enters U.A. High School. At school, he, along with his superpowered classmates, train to become heroes. However, various conspiracies and villainous plots mean they spend more time fighting crime than getting an education.
My Hero Academia is on streaming services like Crunchyroll. Viz Media handles the manga outside of Japan.
