Fortnite has tons of crossover skins and characters, but so few of them return often enough. This makes it frustrating when players miss out on a particular character and want to buy them. Thankfully, I am happy to announce that it appears the Fortnite Master Chief skin return is on the horizon very soon.
Fortnite Master Chief Return Release Date, Explained
Now, before I continue, I must note that this information comes courtesy of the leaker HYPEX. That said, HYPEX is a data miner who is almost always correct about new and returning content in Fortnite. With that in mind, players will be able to pick up the Master Chief skin of this Halo series protagonist very soon.
According to leaker HYPEX, the Master Chief skin will return for players to get the night of December 23, 2024. This is, specifically, in the evening on this day in North America. For players around the world in places like Europe or Asia, it may be on December 24, 2024.
How to Get the Master Chief Skin
Once the Master Chief skin from Halo returns to Fortnite, players will be able to unlock him through one method. You will be able to only purchase this particular crossover skin in the item shop. There is no way to unlock the skin through a special event, quest, or even through the current Battle Pass.
Presumably, the Master Chief skin will cost just as much as it did when it first released. That means it will cost 1,500 V-Bucks for the Master Chief outfit on its own. Now, there are additional items like back blings and the like that you are able to get bundled with the skin for a total of 2,600 V-Bucks. It is up to you how you want to purchase this skin. Yes, you will be able to play as Master Chief on other platforms, such as Switch or PlayStation.
Fortnite is free on Android, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
