Hunter x Hunter author Yoshihiro Togashi said that he is currently preparing to work on the next 50 chapters of the long-running manga series. The manga series returned from a nearly 2-year-long hiatus on October 7, 2024 and has been running strong ever since.
In the latest post made on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Togashi said that him and his assistants are in the process of making adjustments and reviewing the dialogue and the internal timeline of the next 50 Hunter x Hunter manga chapters. He continued by saying that, as soon as he’s done, he will resume his work inking the manuscript.

Yoshihiro Togashi has been forced to put Hunter x Hunter on various hiatus throughout the years due to health concerns. At one point, the mangaka reported being unable to work on manga while sitting down for extended periods of time due to hip and back issues, unless he lies down while drawing.
The latest hiatus started with the release of chapter 400 on December 26, 2022. However, the manga artist was able to restart work and Hunter x Hunter came back on October 7, 2024 with chapter 401. Togashi has released 9 more chapters, with the latest chapter 410 releasing on December 9, 2024 in Japan.
The Hunter x Hunter manga series is being handled by Viz Media in North America. Meanwhile, the 2011 version of the anime is available to watch on streaming services such as Netflix or Crunchyroll.
