Pokemon TCG Pocket Booster Pack Adds Over 80 New Cards

The Pokemon Company International announced the upcoming launch of Mythical Island, a new expansion for Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket with new cards. This debut expansion will introduce over 80 cards when it launches on December 17, 2024.

Players will be able to open Mythical Island booster packs to collect cards such as Mew EX, Celebi EX, and five new Trainer cards, which will undoubtedly shake up the meta. Alongside fresh cards, the Mythical Island expansion also includes binders and board covers inspired by the titular island and its featured Pokémon.

Additionally, Mythical Island will release alongside new Solo Battles in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. This will provide us with new challenges and the opportunity to earn more Hourglasses, Shinedust, and Shop Tickets.

A full list of all new Mythic Island Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket cards has yet to be released, though the following ones have been officially confirmed:

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has yet to introduce trading, though players can use the Wonder pick feature to obtain Mythical Island cards from their friends’ packs.

A “holiday countdown campaign” has also been announced to begin on December 24, 2024. During this event, players can claim free in-game rewards, though additional details remain under wraps for now.

Since launching on October 30, 2024, Pokémon Trading Card Pocket has surpassed over 60 million downloads and earned a nomination for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards.
