All Final Fantasy OSTs in Fantasian, Explained

There is always the base OST for Fantasian that is available at all times. It is also fantastic since it was composed by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu. But with this new release, you also have six other OSTs to choose from that all come from the Final Fantasy franchise they are also pretty recent releases, so they will likely be fresh on your mind.

Here are all of the Final Fantasy OSTs you can use tracks from:

  • Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker
  • FFXIV: Dawntrail
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake
  • FFVII Rebirth
  • Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster
  • Final Fantasy XVI

In addition those six plus the base soundtrack, you can also pick random. This will cycle through all of the available games and ensure every battle is totally random.

How to Switch to Final Fantasy Battle Music in Fantasian

There are a few ways you can switch the battle music to one of the Final Fantasy JRPGs in Fantasian. The first is through the main menu. Head to the settings and then Config and you will find the battle music as an option there. This is also an option on the title screen when you first boot up the experience.

The last option is you can switch the battle music while in the middle of fights. Anytime it is your turn, you can scroll to right like you are picking a skill or item, bring up one of those menus, and then press the Start or + button (depends on your platform) to change the battle music that way. That said, there are some weird quirks with this music. For one, you can’t pick the actual individual track you want to play and just listen to that. Instead, there is a normal fight theme from each game, a boss theme, and so on that are pre-selected for different battles.

Worse, if you pick a certain game, the OST will remain for that game in every battle you do until you change it again. If you’re like me, you might like your main battle theme to be from one game, boss theme from another game, and so on. You will likely have to constantly be switching up your battle music this way for the optimal experience.

Fantasian: Neo Dimension is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
