Genshin Impact & Honkai: Star Rail Players Get Free Primogems & Stellar Jades

As a result of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail both getting PlayStation Partner Awards 2024 honors, as well as other nominations in the case of Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoVerse is doling out free Primogems and Stellar Jades. In both cases, players will get the free currency on December 4, 2024. 

In each case, people are getting 1,000 Primogems and 1,000 Stellar Jades. In the case of the Genshin Impact notice, there will be an additional 200 sent out. Those will arrive between December 4-8, 2024. In both cases, this isn’t enough for a full 10-pull on the gacha. That costs 1,600 Primogems or Stellar Jades, depending on the game. Note that all players of each game get the freebies, regardless of platform.

The expiration date for claiming the free currency differs depending on the game. The Honkai: Star Rail reward is available until 2.7 ends. That is expected to end on January 14, 2025. The Genshin Impact ones will be available until 5.2 ends and 5.3 arrives. That is expected to happen at the very end of December 2024. 

This is a recurring phenomenon for HoYoVerse. For example, the company doled out free Primogems to Genshin Impact players following a win at The Game Awards 2022. When Honkai: Star Rail won at The Game Awards 2023, everyone got free Stellar Jades. Such things also happened after App Store Award honors and other honors. 

There are other ways to get free currency aside from the games winning at special events. One is to pay attention to the Special Program showcases that come up ahead of each update. HoYoVerse will always share codes that can be entered for Primogems or Stellar Jades. Another is to log in after a new update. As an apology for any bugs and to make up for downtime due to maintenance, free currency is always sent out to players’ inboxes. This is also in addition to the typical quest reward currency that comes up as you play the game.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. Honkai: Star Rail is available on the PS5, PC, and mobile devices.
