One of the most enjoyable aspects of Animal Crossing games comes from sharing your experiences with other players. Showing off your tastes in home décor, going on misadventures, or trading gifts is just plain fun, and it gives additional purpose to everything you do in the game. The original Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp handled things a little bit differently, but did offer some interaction with other players. With the closure of that game and the release of the new one, it begs the question: is there multiplayer in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete?
So, is there multiplayer in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete?
It’s complicated. No, you can’t visit another player’s campsite and run around having fun with them. None of the multiplayer features from Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp like the marketplace or having random visitors are here, either. Instead, all of the multiplayer in the game is handled via the new Whistle Pass location. K.K Slider will hang out here and perform concerts from time to time, but it’s also where you can meet other campers and ask them for help with the Quarry. They’ll also rock out at the concerts, making those events feel a bit more alive.
To get other campers to come to Whistle Pass, you’ll need to exchange Camper Cards. The official site has some Camper Cards you can add if you need them, but you can also add friends by getting their Camper Cards or sharing yours. These take the form of QR codes you can scan using your device’s camera. You can also save the Camper Card to your device’s photo album and select it from there. You’ll have to connect with other players outside of the game to get their cards, unfortunately. There is no in-game means of meeting people anymore. Collect those Cards and you’ll have a bustling Whistle Pass in no time!
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is available on Android and Apple iOS mobile devices.
