In Towers of Aghasba, Resin is a crafting material you’ll need to make several important items in the game. This guide will teach you how to find it in the world.
Resin is one of the few items that the game actually teaches you how to get, since it’s part of the tutorial. Soon after you revive the King Tree in the Amani Region, you will be able to plant trees in the temperature ecosystem. One of these trees is the Resin Fir. Once you wait for it to grow, you can cut it down for Resin, as well as other materials like Wood.
However, Resin Fir is not the only species of tree that provides Resin in Towers of Aghasba. You can actually extract Resin from other trees, like the Pastu Tree and the Slim Tree. The Pastu Tree and Resin Fir have a higher chance of dropping Resin. As a note, cutting down a Tree will deplete some of your Amity. If you return to the King Tree and climb it, you can get more Temperate Seeds, which you can plant for more trees for more Resin.
There is one final method to find Resin in the game, and it’s through the Resin Pool. I personally don’t recommend this, because it takes longer to find a Resin Pool than it does to simply plant and harvest a tree. Resin Pools are in the temperate ecosystem, and you have to extract the Resin with a shovel. The reason why they’re difficult to find is because they’re very small. Even worse, the temperate ecosystem is so full of grass, flowers, and bugs that they really blend in with everything else.
Towers of Aghasba is available on Windows PC via Steam, and it’s still in early access.
